Around 40 IFSA (International Forestry Students Association) students visited the Slovenia Forest Service and the Slovenian Forestry Institute on 15th March 2017 as part of the IFSA Winter Meeting 2017. Students learned about the tasks of the hosting institutions and their current project work. They also participated in interesting workshops. Projects LIFE DINALP BEAR, LIFEGENMONLIFE ARTEMIS and SIMWOOD presented their work, which was also a great opportunity for the networking among the projects.

LIFE DINALP BEAR project presented methods for better coexistence between human and bear. The students showed great interest in bear-resistant garbage cans and protection of livestock with electric fences and livestock guarding dogs.
