On August 17 and August 18, workshops for monitoring of brown bear (Life DinAlp Bear) and wolf (Slovenian national monitoring) took place in Kočevska and Notranjska region, Slovenia. Both events represented great opportunities for the networking of two projects dealing with large carnivores in Slovenia. Around 90 employees of Slovenia Forest Service attended the workshops (mainly district foresters, damage inspectors and employees of the special purpose hunting grounds). They were informed about the methodology of the genetic sampling of brown bears and wolves and also about the objectives and the progress of the Life DinAlp Bear project.
