We already reported about movements of brown bear male »Rok« in the pre-Alpine area (see the link here), and now you can also see a map of its home range on our interactive web portal MBase, which also contains an international database for large carnivores (https://portal.mbase.org/).
Rok’s home range is shown here, and the entire “bear” gallery is available by setting the animal species at the top right to “brown bear” or directly here, where the articles and links to the LIFE DINALP BEAR project data are listed.
If you are not registered on the MBase portal yet, you can view information about bears from the gallery; there you will also find among others the home ranges of other bears that have been equipped with a telemetry collar in the frame of LIFE DINALP BEAR project. However, if you want to set the filters yourself and perform your own queries, then create a user account via an automatically guided process by clicking on the button on the upper right “Log-in”.
