Based on the analysis of spatial distribution of bear-related conflicts in Slovenia (within Action A.1) and in cooperation with local communities we developed the plan for distribution of electrical fences and bear-proof garbage containers and compost bins. We identified four larger areas of conflict occurrences (three in Dinaric part and one in Alpine part of Slovenia), which will provide spatial frame for the distribution of electrical fences. Inside larger areas we identified six conflict hot-spots, where we will intensify our activities (mainly to prevent bears to approach settlements) and will closely cooperate with local communities.
