On 24th January 2019, we held a lecture about large carnivores and the golden jackal at the Kozjanski regional park in East Slovenia. Besides the presentation of the biology and ecology of the species we also presented the results obtained within different activities of the LIFE DINALP BEAR project. The most intriguing part was definitely the presentation of the results of the brown bear monitoring in Slovenia and bear distribution, and the advices regarding our reactions and proper behaviour, when encountering a bear.

As almost 60 people attended the lecture, we can assume that the interest in large carnivores in Slovenia is very high even in those areas, where large carnivores are not so common.
