In winter, members of the Biology Student Association went to Kočevska Reka (Slovenia), in order to get acquainted with the field work in biology. The students were divided into groups based on their interests and for three consecutive days conducting field work. One of the groups was dedicated to large carnivores tracking, since Kočevska region is an area where all three large carnivores live, and a brown bear is its symbol.

During the day, they searched for predators’ presence signs and found fresh footprints of bears in the snow. In the evening, LIFE DINALP BEAR project and activities were presented to students. Afterwards, students played role-playing game Play decide to get familiar with large carnivore management and its complexity.
