Planning communication activities, implementing and evaluating them are recognized as crucial points for a successful large carnivore conservation. In the frame of the projects LIFE DINALP BEAR and LIFE Lynx, an international three-day workshop entitled “Communication in large carnivore conservation and management” was organized in April 2018. The first two days of the event was dedicated to 16 presentations, each followed by a discussion among all participants. On the third day, we outlined scenarios in communicating bear- or lynx-related issues to different interest groups. Our report, which is available here, will be used for preparation and implementation of future communication activities regarding large carnivores.
