In the project in Action F.2 we’ve planned organisation of an international thematic conference and invite teams from other bear projects and other experts and managers working in bear management. Following the meeting at the IBA conference in Greece we recognized the opportunity to greatly increase the significance of this event by organizing an international conference together with the International Association for Bear Research and Management (IBA Conference). IBA Conference is a global, usually six-day event with the estimated number of 350 participants. Organisation of conference together with IBA can bring numerous benefits for the project. By hosting an IBA Conference we would make certain that all major bear experts in the world would attend and a greater visibility of our project. In September 2015 we have filed an application to IBA for the organisation of the IBA Conference in 2018 in Ljubljana.
