Between June 12 and 16 2016 the 24th International Conference on bear research and management was held in Alaska (USA). The name of the conference was Bears of the world: Learning from our past to inform our future.

Representatives of the LIFE DINALP BEAR project from Slovenia, Croatia and Italy attended the conference and presented some results from different project activities in three lectures:

  • A population level approach to bear management in the north Dinaric and Alpine population (Rok Černe),
  • Dead bears as a monitoring tool (Djuro Huber),
  • Monitoring of brown bears in Trentino – Italian Alps (Claudio Groff).
