On Thursday, 3rd of November 2016, we held an official opening of LIFE DINALP BEAR project interactive portal (info point), action E3. Info point offers information about biology and ecology of brown bears, advices about how to behave around bears, descriptions of possible threats and solutions for conflicts and for better coexistence.

Introductory word was held by the director of National park Risnjak Miljenko Gašparac, who commended and supported cooperation with LIFE DINALP BEAR project. After that, Slaven Reljić held lecture on project advancement and goals – genetic counting of bears in Croatia, necessary steps for improving human-bear coexistence and non-consumptive use of brown bears: use of „Bear friendly“ marks for Eco tourist products which are produced  in a „bear friendly“ way. At the end there was a small reception for all the guests.

On the same day, we held an opening of project info point at subsidiary of Natural History Museum Rijeka, The permanent exhibition in castle Zrinski, at town of Brod na Kupi. Introductory word was held by the director of Natural History Museum dr. sc. Željka Modrić Surina. After Slaven Reljić lecture, there was a reception for the guests. Several media representatives covered this opening, and the feature of this event was broadcast on Croatian National Television on Friday 4th of November.
