On March 5th 2015 the LIFE DINALP BEAR project team from Slovenia Forest Service met the officials working with human-bear conflicts in Slovenia. All the officials present at the meeting are also damage inspectors and some of them are members of the intervention group for large carnivores, so they are constantly in contact with local people living in bear areas. The project team presented the activities, which the officials will be involved in and emphasized their important role throughout the project. The officials are very important at a local level as they can suggest appropriate solutions to resolve human-bear conflicts and contribute to the promotion of effective mitigation measures.
