In Croatia, Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zagreb organized an educational seminar for different experts working in spatial planning and environmental impact assessment area. Event was organized within action C3 “Integration of bear habitat connectivity and suitability into spatial planning”.

Project team members from Slovenia and Croatia presented their experience and challenges, encountered during all stages of building wildlife crossing structures, and ways they dealt with them. Participants also learned that animals require time to adapt to new crossing objects before starting to use them regularly, and how important it is that already constructed crossing structures are considered when planning new infrastructure, which could potentially impact their use.
