On Saturday 13 May, members of the project team have offered workshops on bears to the children and their parents at the event Šport in Špas. The event was organized by the kindergarten Najdihojca in Ljubljana. Children have, with our guidance, casted prints of bear paws and through conversation learned about bears and coexistence with them. At the same time in the sandbox, they used pre-made “stamps” – casts of footprints – exploring and discovering traces of other forest animals and learning to recognize the signs of the presence of various species. All casts were donated to the kindergarten.

Šport in Špas – Druženje in gibanje vseh generacij” is the largest project and increased the importance of sports and recreation in Slovenia.  During the previous school year they organized 121 events in cities and towns across Slovenia. Over 35,000 participants visited and actively participated in these events. The participants were from the youngest generation from kindergarten to the oldest generation from retirement homes. Event in Najdihojca kindergarten attracted around 200 visitors.
