On Monday, May 14^th, we organized an educational workshop at the “Notranje Gorice” primary school, Slovenia in cooperation with LIFE WOLFALPS project. We focused on bears and other large carnivores. All 111 pupils attending the school, participated in the workshop. Besides providing information about large carnivore biology and ecology, the main purpose of the workshop was to point out the importance of coexistence with bears and other large carnivores, as well as to discuss possible conflicts with aforementioned species. Also, we talked about the proper behaviour when visiting or inhabiting the large carnivore area, about proper protection of human property and also about pupils’ perceptions about brown bears.
