Saturday, 23^st of January,  we will organize the Bear Day – an educational seminar about non-consumptive use of bears for hunters and tourist guides. Bear related tourist products, such as bear watching and photography,  nowadays represent new opportunities for local community and tourism sector, while contributing to the conservation of bears and their habitat.

However, non-consumptive use of bears must be planned carefully and responsibly, to ensure a quality user experience and minor disturbance for bears and other wildlife species. Therefore, guidelines for the responsible use of bears in tourism will be presented in the frame of the Bear Day seminar. We will also present the relevant legal aspects, basic bear biology and ecology, basic tourist group management and give some practical examples of the non-consumptive use products.
